Non-profit or Not for Profit Research
Learn how to research nonprofit or not for profit companies/organizations
Company/Organization Information
Finding information especially financial information about nonprofit or not-for-profit companies or organizations is not quite as easy as researching a publicly traded company which trades on a stock exchange. These companies or organizations must file a Form 990 which talks about their mission, top 10 salaries and income statement(s)/balance sheets. If one delves more deeply into the financials, you might find that of the dollar you donated to Organization X, that less than 50% actually went to the individuals/groups you are being told it is going to help.
