Finding Multicultural Picture Books in the IC Library:

Use an advanced search to find multicultural picture books in our library's search engine and try using phrases like "juvenile fiction" or "juvenile works" in the subject field. Here is a sample:

  1. For this exercise, try searching for one of the books below using the Ithaca College Library Search Engine 
  2. Write down the call number and stack number
  3. Then try finding it in the stacks.

Note: If the book is checked out or not on the shelf, try a different book.

Finding and Ordering Picture Books From Other Libraries

There are many additional multicultural picture books that are not currently in our library, but can be obtained through our library's Interlibrary Loan Service (ILL).

  1. Log into your library account using the Sign-In button at the top right of the library page.
  2. Sign in using your Netpass information. Find the library home page tab.
  3. Try searching for one of the books below, or another title that you can't find in our catalog. If we don't own it, you should see a "Get It For Me From Another Library" link. Use this link to request that the book be mailed to our library for you to use.
