From Standard & Poors, this database contains industry surveys, and other information for business research and analysis. Click on Research on the blue bar (on top), then choose Report Type, Industry Overview, Choose at least the last 6 months.
Covers different broad industries. Useful in that the analysis is independent, in-depth and gives a standardized way to look at each industry including a Porter's 5 Forces Analysis and suggested major sources for each industry.
Choose document type (middle of page), industry report, limit by location, choose Include United States-US, Apply. Then search by name of industry in Document title. You can also search by NAICS code. Reports are by First Research and Plunkett Analytics.

The resource guides listed provide sources for industry information, research, and analysis for more than 400 industries. Individual guides for each of these industries identify resources available from trade associations, research firms, and other sources, with resource categories referenced in these guides including industry analysis, statistics, trends, and forecasts, financial statements and financial ratios, and compensation and salary survey. Some of these resources are free and others are available in databases which IC may not subscribe to.
