About this Guide

Course Description:

This one credit course is designed as an introduction to the study of the legal system, as well as an overview of the Legal Studies major. A major component of the course will involved guest presentations from the legal community, from IC faculty, and from others who may contribute to knowledge of the legal system and the study of law.

  • What sources and services are available at Ithaca College library
  • Careers in law librarianship

What Do You Need?

  • Ithaca College ID card - Use to check out materials (books, scores, multimedia, laptops, etc.)

  • Ithaca College Netpass info (email) - Use for signing into computers, databases, and online materials

How Long Can You Keep Library Materials?

  • Books and Scores: 1 semester (can renew twice)

  • Audio and Video: 7 days (can renew twice)

  • Special materials may have different borrowing times - check the full list for more information.
