The Park Center for Independent Media (PCIM), launched in 2008 and funded by a generous endowment from the Park Foundation, is a center for the study of media outlets that create and distribute content outside traditional corporate systems.
Special thanks to the most active activist I know, former Associate Director of PCIM Maura Stephens. She is an indy media writer, expert & a great editor who contributed to this guide.

The materials in this archive were generously provided to the center by Jo Ellen Green Kaiser, Executive Director of The Media Consortium from 2011-2018. Within this archive is an array of materials that document the day-to-day operations of The Media Consortium: posters, notes from meetings, brochures, mission statements, lists of members, and other such documents."
