IC Student Media
- ICTVICTV is IC’s student-operated television production organization serving 26,000 Tompkins County cable households with a variety of community-oriented programming. It is operated by and housed in the Roy H. Park School of Communications. Participants are volunteers, and IC students in any major are encouraged to work on the production teams, which are student-managed. (website)
- WICBWICB is owned by Ithaca College and operated by Ithaca College students. We are the College’s only FCC licensed, non-commercial educational station that broadcasts from the top of Ithaca’s South Hill at 91.7 FM. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and are affiliated with Westwood One News and the Associated Press. We are Ithaca’s only modern rock station and are consistently the market’s favorite radio station. (website)
- VIC RadioIthaca College’s internet-only radio station is operated by a full student staff of DJs, newscasters and sportscasters. It began in 1957 as WICB-AM, broadcasting across the college’s campus using carrier-current technology and reaching the Ithaca Community through FM cable. The station changed to “WVIC” in 1984. The “W” was dropped after WVIC in Lansing, MI requested the change. (website)
