  • ChemCollective offers a virtual lab with an online simulation of a chemistry lab.
  • Michigan State University has developed a Virtual Interactive Bacteriology Laboratory.
  • The PhET Interactive Simulations project at the University of Colorado Boulder creates interactive math and science simulations.
  • LabXchange - Simulations for physical sciences and health. Interactives for Biological Sciences and Scientific Process. Additional interactive animations available in numerous scientific disciplines. Developed by the Arts and Sciences Faculty at Harvard.
  • NEXTSTRAIN is an open-source project to harness the scientific and public health potential of pathogen genome data. The database is a bioinformatics pipeline for phylodynamics analysis, and includes interactive visualization.
  • North Carolina State University has created some VR Organic Chemistry labs.
  • Community Software Internet Archive and Software Library are two software repositories that include thousands of open source programs.
