Before You Go--Verify Student Access

You've created your reading list--great! Before you exit out of it, double check these three things to make sure your students will be able to access the materials you want them to.

#1: Send Reserve Requests to the Library

You've added citations to your reading list--perfect. Just remember to "send" the ones you want library staff to put on reserve or upload for you. (Otherwise, we won't see them.)

From the dropdown ellipsis menu on the right-hand side of the citation, click Send to Library.

#2: Publish Your List

From the dropdown ellipsis menu in the upper left-hand corner of the reading list, click Publish

#3: Associate Your List with a Course

It's possible to create a reading list in Leganto that isn't associated with a course in Sakai, but if you want your students to access it, you'll want to associate it with a course. 

  1. When your reading list is associated with a course, it will be visible in the heading

  2. If you don't see the cap symbol as in #1, log in to your course in Sakai and copy the code in the URL at the top of the page
  3. Back in Leganto, click the dropdown ellipsis menu in the upper left-hand corner of your reading list and select Manage course association
  4. Paste the code you copied from Sakai and associate the course
  5. Check for the cap symbol as in #1 and verify that your reading list is now associated
