Adding your own PDFs
1. Click the Add button with the plus sign.
2. Select Manual Entry.
3. Drag and drop the PDF you would like to add into the box, or click on the box and select the appropriate file from your computer.
4. The information of the PDF should auto populate the categories. Double check that the information is correct.
5. Confirm the item falls under Fair Use guidelines.
6. Click Next.
7. Add additional details that are needed, such as publisher and publication date.
8. Click Next.
9. Decide how the item will be used in Course Readings: whether it is hidden, needs any notes, which section to add it to, etc.
10. Click Add.
Adding web links
This is roughly the same series of steps as adding your own document.
1. Click the Add Items button with the plus sign.
2. Select Manual Entry.
3. Use the drop down menu under Type and select Website.
4. Enter the name of the website under Title. Then click Next.
5. Add the URL, as well as any other information from the website. Then click Next.
6. Decide how you want your students to interact with the resource. Then click Add.
7. Click on View Online to test access to the website that was just added.
Adding items owned by you (personal reserves)
1. Click the Add Items button with the plus sign.
2. Select Manual Entry.
3. Choose the Type and fill in the Title.
4. Because the books is not in the Ithaca College catalogue, you will need to populate as much information as you have. This includes the author, publisher, etc.
5. On the page where you decide how the students interact with the resource, select "I will provide a personal copy to the library." You will be prompted to put in the owner of the copy.
6. Deliver the item to the library's Access Services desk to be placed on reserve. Please also send an email to reserve@ithaca.edu; we'll process the request once we have the item.
