Course Readings in Canvas

Adding your own PDFs

1. Click the Add Items button with the plus sign.

2. Select Blank Form.

 

3. Drag and drop the PDF you would like to add into the box, or click on the box and select the appropriate file from your computer.

 

4. The information of the PDF should auto populate the categories. Double check that the information is correct. 

5. Click Add, and the PDF should be viewable and downloadable.

 

Adding web links

1. Click the Add Items button with the plus sign.

2. Select Blank Form.

 

3. Use the drop down menu under Type and select Website.

4. Enter the name of the website under Title

5. Add the URL for the website under Source.

6. Then click Add. Click on View Online to test access to the website that was just added.

 

Adding items owned by you (personal reserves)

1. Click the Add Items button with the plus sign.

2. Select Blank Form.

 

3. Check Personal copy and fill in any other identifying fields you'd like.

4. Click Add to add the citation to your reading list.

 

5. Deliver the item to the library's Access Services desk to be placed on reserve. Please also send an email to reserve@ithaca.edu; we'll process the request once we have the item.

 

 

Insert a citation from within the Canvas Rich Content Editor
